ICT-ATW

1. Overview

The ICT-ATW is a high-performance precision tool designed for traders following Inner Circle Trader (ICT) concepts. It focuses on the importance of "Time and Price" by automating the visualization of specific algorithmic trading windows, daily session dividers, and critical opening price levels. By highlighting these institutional liquidity windows, the indicator helps traders identify where high-probability setups are likely to form during the daily cycle.

2. Logic

The indicator operates on a sophisticated time-tracking engine that synchronizes all data to the New York Time (America/New_York) zone, regardless of the user's local chart settings.

2.1. Time-Based Price Discovery The script tracks the Open, High, Low, and Close (OHLC) for every specific sub-session. It dynamically builds "Zones" (boxes) as the session progresses, updating the high and low boundaries in real-time until the session window closes.

2.2. Critical Price Levels It identifies three major "Institutional Opens" which serve as the "True Day" anchor points:
  • Midnight Open (00:00): Used to determine daily bias (Premium/Discount).
  • 8:30 AM Open: The start of the NY news cycle and algorithmic volatility.
  • 9:30 AM Open: The NY Stock Exchange (Equities) open.

2.3. Opening Ranges (OR) Unlike standard sessions, the Opening Range logic captures the price action of the first few minutes of a session (e.g., the first 30 minutes of London or NY) to establish a range that often acts as support or resistance for the remainder of the day.
